Medicine of the Forest Mother: Ceremony and Council in the Forest

Join us for "Medicine of the Forest Mother," a sacred gathering dedicated to honoring the deep wisdom and nurturing energy of the Forest as our Mother. Taking place on May 11, 2024, from 11am to 4pm, this special event is a celebration of mothers and the profound connection we share with the earth.

Event Details

  • Date: May 11th, 2024

  • Time: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

  • Location: Tyee Arts and Education Center

  • Suggested Donation: $25-50 per person

Gather with us in ceremony around a crackling fire, where we will come together as a community to honor the essence of motherhood. As part of our ceremony, we will create a beautiful altar, a sacred space to honor the lineage of mothers who come with, before, and after us, whose wisdom and strength flow through our hearts and veins.

Embrace the healing power of nature as you embark on individual medicine walks through the forested land surrounding us. Allow the whispers of the trees and the songs of the birds to guide you as you connect with the healing energies of the earth.

After our time in nature, we will reconvene in council to share our experiences, insights, and reflections. This sacred circle provides a space for deep connection, support, and community building as we honor the diverse experiences of motherhood.

Meet your Guide

Ansley Roberts

Ansley is a wilderness guide and council facilitator with a passion for dreamwork, storytelling, conversations with the more-than-human world. After losing her mother in 2021, Ansley has been answering her Spirit’s call to create spaces where women and mothers can find support, healing, and guidance through experiences in nature. Some of her greatest joys are the scent and hum of a beehive on a warm spring afternoon, the clack and dings of a typewriter, and long motorcycle rides to nowhere in particular.
