CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

At Rainwalk Rewild, we prioritize transparency and flexibility in our cancellation and refund policy to accommodate the dynamic nature of our programs and the environment. Please note that program outings, dates, times, locations, pricing, and staffing are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. We commit to notifying participants promptly of any alterations. Below, you will find cancellation policies for our Youth Programs, Field Courses, Custom Programs, and policies for risk and participation.

Youth Program Cancellation Policies

Administrative, WEATHER, AND SAFETY-RELATED CANCELLATIONS

Although we rarely need to do so, we reserve the right to cancel a course or change a course duration, tuition or location. Rainwalk Rewild is not responsible for costs associated in these cases.

In the case that any of a program is cancelled due to inclement weather, or circumstances out of our control, all possible attempts will be made to offer a make-up day. However, in many circumstances, this may not be possible. In the event of a program cancellation due to weather, air quality, or other concerns, we will notify families as soon as possible via email to the primary address on file. We are unable to offer refunds if a program, or any part of a program, is cancelled due to inclement weather, air quality, or other circumstances out of our control.

We acknowledge and respect that families each have unique needs and levels of comfort, and we encourage families to make the attendance decisions that are right for them. If programming goes ahead as planned, we are not able to offer any refunds to families who choose not to attend.

If a program is cancelled due to low enrollment, tuition will be fully refunded or made transferable to another camp or program.

NON-REFUNDABLE REGISTRATION Deposit

Upon registration, each student enrolled in break camp or year-round programs must submit a $100 deposit per program. Full tuition may be paid upon registration or according to our mutually agreed upon payment plan. Deposits are not refundable unless we deny your application. If you cancel for any reason, you may receive a prorated credit for your registration deposit which is good through the following calendar year on the registration fee for appropriate and available programs listed on our schedule, although an additional deposit is needed to secure your spot in the future program.

Reasons for our refund policy include the expenditure of funds (property rentals, advertising, materials, administrative staff time, etc.) long before programs take place, i.e. deposits make it feasible for Rainwalk Rewild to schedule programs in the first place.

cancellation policy for YEAR-ROUND programs:

Cancellation by the participant can take place at any time 14 days prior to the beginning of the program with a full refund (less the $100 deposit, which can be transferred to another program or participant such as a sibling’s tuition). All tuition is non-refundable after a program begins.

Refunds for Behavior-Related Suspensions or Expulsions

No refund, nor credit, is given if a participant is asked to leave a program for inappropriateness as determined by our kids, youth, and adult agreements for participation, so I commit to reading the agreements and (my child) adhering to them, taking full risk of (she/he/they) missing program time without refund.

Please visit our Program Values and Expectations page for more information about our Behavior Agreements.

Field Course Cancellation Policy

All purchases for course registration are considered final and non-refundable unless cancellations are received 14 days in advance of a program start.

Administrative, Weather, or Safety-Related Cancellations

In the event of a last-minute administrative cancellation (within 2 days of program start) due to weather or safety-related concerns, we will make all possible attempts to reschedule. If a course cannot be rescheduled due to weather or safety-related concerns, we are unable to offer tuition refunds.

If a program is cancelled due to low enrollment, tuition will be fully refunded or made transferable to another camp or program.

Cancellations by Participants

If you provide notice of your need to cancel 7 or more days before the course begins, you will receive a tuition credit in the full amount paid. This credit can be used towards a future Rainwalk Rewild course within 1 year. The tuition credit is non-transferable in case of a subsequent cancellation. Any tuition credit or personalized discount codes issued will expire at the end of the current calendar year. "Last minute cancellation" is defined as cancelling your attendance within 6 days of the course start date, for which Rainwalk Rewild will not provide any credit.

Exceptions to this policy might be made for special circumstances; please Contact Us to inquire further.

Risks and Participant Responsibility

At Rainwalk Rewild, the essence of our programs lies in the natural environment, where participants may encounter diverse terrains, variable weather conditions, insects, and unexpected occurrences. To ensure a safe and fulfilling experience, participants should anticipate and be equipped for these possibilities, maintaining good physical readiness to spend entire days outdoors.

This document acknowledges an understanding of potential risks associated with outdoor activities. All participants are responsible for their health and accident insurance coverage while participating in Rainwalk Rewild programs.
