In our 5 Month Pacific Northwest Foraging Apprenticeship, including this October Mushroom Foraging Workshop, participants will learn to identify, harvest, and prepare wild edible and medicinal mushrooms. This particular workshop covers the identification and preparation of edible and medicinal mushrooms in the Pacific Northwest.
Through detailed, engaging fungi studies along the trail, attendees acquire proficiency in identifying edible fungi species of the Pacific Northwest bioregion. We will spend most of our time foraging for mushrooms. When/if enough edible species are collected, we will prepare food and/or medicine from the foraged finds.
By taking part in the series as a whole, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and confidence needed to identify and harvest native plants and fungi throughout various seasons in the Pacific Northwest.
