The Forager’s Apprentice: November - Late Fall Roots

In our 5 Month Pacific Northwest Foraging Apprenticeship, including this November Late Fall Roots Herbal Medicine Workshop, participants will learn to identify, harvest, and prepare roots from wild edible and medicinal plants. This particular workshop covers the identification and preparation of edible and medicinal roots in the Pacific Northwest.

Through detailed, engaging fungi studies along the trail, attendees acquire proficiency in identifying edible plant species of the Pacific Northwest bioregion as the season shifts into late fall. We will harvest and prepare herbal remedieds and foods from edible plant roots.

By taking part in the series as a whole, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and confidence needed to identify and harvest native plants and fungi throughout various seasons in the Pacific Northwest.

This workshop is part of a 5-month Pacific Northwest Foraging Apprenticeship focused on diving deeper into foraging in the Pacific Northwest throughout the seasons. Space is limited to 12 participants for the entire course as a whole and there are only 4 open spots for drop-ins.
